Objects represent our lives. I have always been fascinated with the Dutch vanitas still life paintings. The luscious paint elevates the significance of fleeting moments. In a world where we are becoming more and more disconnected from the physical as we transition to a digital world, I think it is important to not lose touch with our past: the myths, the lies, the impossible.
